South Korea captain Park Ji-Sung is expected to fly back to the East Asian nation once their 2011 Asian Cup campaign has concluded to announce his international retirement. There is no certainty that the 29-year-old Manchester United midfielder will be fit enough to play against Uzbekistan in the third-place match, as he is under an injury cloud with knee problems, according to Goal.com Korea.

Coach Cho Kwang-rae, though, denied his star midfielder is injured, but has been resting due to the amount of football he had played throughout the tournament.
"Park Ji-Sung is one of the players and we will take a decision whether he will play," the coach said to Gulfnews. "He does not have any injury but he is yet to recover to full fitness and we are trying to avoid any possible injuries due to lack of total fitness."
Park has played five matches, totalling 494 minutes, including all but two minutes in his side's extra-time games against Iran and Japan. He also has been capped 100 times for his nation, reaching the milestone in the semi-finals against Japan. The midfielder's father revealed last month that his son would retire from international football once the prestigious Asian tournament concluded.
