David Bellion endured a difficult start to the campaign with Bordeaux, appearing only twice from the bench, and now that the striker has moved on loan to Nice, he has exclusively told Goal of his poor relations with coach Jean Tigana.

The former Manchester United and Sunderland player has complained that all the graft he put into training was ignored by his former boss. “At first I had my chance, it's true,” he explained. “But from the time when other attackers arrived, it was simply over for me.

“I know very well that I had to leave, because at training I was a ghost. I didn’t exist on the pitch. I scored goals in the Coupe de la Ligue, with the reserve team and in friendly matches, but it was pointless to do.”Bellion will hope for more success with Nice, where he was previously a success during the 2006-07 season.
